The stem head design of Double “D” or Square cross allows for easy connection with various actuators, enabling the wafer butterfly valve to deliver more torque. Additionally, the two-piece stem square driver provides a secure and reliable connection, making it suitable for challenging conditions.

With a body structure that eliminates the need for a frame, the wafer valve allows for precise separation of the seat from the body, ensuring optimal sealing with the fluid medium. It also facilitates convenient connection with pipe flanges during installation.

The wafer valve offers a range of sizes, from DN25 to DN600, and pressure options of PN10, PN16, 150 psi, or 200 psi. The ED series wafer valve provides a reliable solution for fluid control in marine systems. Its compact and versatile design makes it suitable for a wide range of applications.

The ED series wafer valve offers different seat specifications based on the elastomer material used. Here are the seat specifications for each elastomer:

  • NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber):
    • Temperature range: -23℃ to 82℃
    • Shot time temperature range: -23℃ to 120℃
    • Features: Good tensile strength, resistance to abrasion, and resistance to hydrocarbon products. Suitable for general-service applications involving water, vacuum, acids, salts, alkalines, fats, oils, greases, hydraulic oils, and ethylene glycol. Not suitable for use with acetone, ketones, or nitrated or chlorinated hydrocarbons.
  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer):
    • Temperature range: -20℃ to 130℃
    • Shot time temperature range: -30℃ to 150℃
    • Features: Suitable for general-service applications involving hot-water systems, drinks, milk product systems, and applications containing ketones, alcohol, nitric ether esters, and glycerol. Not suitable for use with hydrocarbon-based oils, minerals, or solvents.
  • Viton (Fluorinated Hydrocarbon Elastomer):
    • Temperature range: -10℃ to 180℃
    • Features: Excellent resistance to most hydrocarbon oils, gases, and other petroleum-based products. Not suitable for steam service, hot water over 82℃, or concentrated alkalines.
  • PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) with EPDM inner liner:
    • Temperature range: -5℃ to 110℃
    • Features: Good chemical stability, non-sticky surface, good lubricity, and aging resistance. Suitable for use with acids, alkalis, oxidants, and other corrosive substances.
  • PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) with NBR inner liner:
    • Temperature range: -5℃ to 90℃
    • Features: Good chemical stability, non-sticky surface, good lubricity, and aging resistance. Suitable for use with acids, alkalis, oxidants, and other corrosive substances.

Zava Marine has recently opened new molds for European and North American clients, utilizing materials such as metal, ABS, PVC, and more.
