Product Detail

Lifebuoy Box – Boat Safety Kit

As marine safety equipment, the device features a clever design where the ring buoy is securely held in place against the end wall of a frame. A swingable pivoted ramp, with its center of gravity strategically positioned, keeps the ring buoy snugly in place. The ramp also includes holders for lifebuoy markers, such as light and smoke signals, which are connected to a painter line that is also stored within the device.

The Lifebuoy Quick Release Box is an essential component of a boat safety kit. It is a specialized container designed to securely hold and deploy lifebuoys or life rings in emergency situations. Using a simple latch mechanism, the ramp can be released with an upward pull. This action allows the ramp to swing out around its pivot, creating a ramp pathway that projects the ring buoy away from a vertical drop. As a result, the ring buoy follows a trajectory that frees it from the ship, ensuring it can be quickly deployed for rescue purposes. Simultaneously, the device ejects and actuates the lifebuoy markers, enhancing visibility and signaling for rescue operations.
