Z2C Series Marine DC Motor

Category

About product

Z2C Series Marine DC Motors are high-performance motors specifically designed for shipboard applications. The standard models feature a drip-proof single-shaft design with self-fan cooling, suitable for continuous operation in general marine environments. The series can also be manufactured with double-shaft configurations to meet special installation or power transmission requirements.

1. Robust Structural Design

  • Drip-proof single-shaft design ensures safe and stable operation in humid marine conditions.
  • Self-fan cooling system maintains temperature rise under rated power without requiring external cooling devices.
  • Optional double-shaft configuration provides flexibility for different mechanical connections and power output requirements.

2. Shaft Orientation and Rotation Direction

  • Standard shaft output faces the terminal box, configured as left-hand shaft for easy connection to shipboard equipment.
  • Standard rotation direction is counterclockwise when facing the commutator, complying with common shipboard machinery installation and operation requirements. Custom rotation directions are available on request.

Marine Z2C Series DC Motor

Our Z2C series marine DC motor is suitable for applications where the constant power speed range does not exceed 2:1, and the overload capacity is no more than 1.5 times the rated torque for electrical drive. To adapt to a wide range of constant-torque voltage regulation, speed control, and precise speed regulation, the excitation voltage can be selected according to different requirements. The excitation power supply can be 110 V, 220 V, or any other suitable voltage.

In addition, the Z2C series marine DC motor offers several special configurations to meet various specific needs:

  1. Z2C Special Voltage Motors: Rated voltages of 180 V, 340 V, and 440 V are available. These motors are suitable for single-phase or three-phase thyristor power supplies, or other applications requiring a special voltage supply.

  2. Compensated Winding Motors: Upon special request, Z2C series marine DC motors can be equipped with compensation windings. In this case, the overload capacity can increase to approximately 2.5 times the rated torque. The armature time constant can also be reduced, making the motor suitable for high-power servo systems or applications requiring high torque under load.

Z2C Series DC Motor Operating Conditions

  • Power range of the motor :0.4-200 kw
  • Rated voltages:110 v and 220 v
  • Rated speed :3000, 1500, 1000, 750 and 600 RPM
  • Under the following conditions, this series of motors can be used continuously. (1) the air relative humidity is <95% with condensation (2) ambient air temperature is-25-+50℃
  • In addition to the above basic voltage, speed and special specifications derived from the table of contents, may be made as required Other voltage and speed of the motor.

Marine Z2C Series DC Motor Transmission Method

The motor can be driven by an elastic coupling, spur gear, or V-belt without generating axial thrust. For motors with two shaft extensions, the two shaft extensions of frame sizes No. 1–6 can transmit the rated torque. For frame sizes No. 7–11, only the commutator-end shaft extension can transfer the rated torque, and this is only possible in the absence of radial load. Under radial load conditions, only 50% of the rated torque can be transmitted.

Motors with power ratings from 0.4–2 kW are allowed to start using a single-stage starting resistor. For motors with power above 2 kW, a multi-stage starting resistor should be used, or starting should be performed by gradually increasing the voltage after reducing the armature voltage.
