Marine Mooring Bollard

About product

Our marine bollards are typically made of high-strength cast steel or forged steel, with surface treatments such as thermal spray zinc, epoxy coating, or hot-dip galvanizing, providing excellent corrosion resistance against wave impact, salt spray, and mechanical wear in long-term marine environments.

Common structural types include single-post, double-post, and cruciform designs, which can be flexibly selected according to different vessel types and application scenarios.

  • Single cruciform bollard: Suitable for light-duty vessels, featuring a simple structure and cost-effective design.
  • Double cruciform bollard: Heavy-duty design with superior stability, ideal for large vessels or port installations.

Product Detail

Marine Mooring Bollard for Sale

A marine bollard is a core component of a ship’s mooring system, primarily used to secure mooring lines and transfer tension loads to the ship’s structure, ensuring safety and stability during berthing, docking, and towing operations. Its function is not only to provide a reliable anchoring point but also to effectively distribute the tension of the mooring lines, preventing excessive localized stress that could lead to structural damage.

In addition, the bollard base is connected to the deck by welding or bolted fastening. Some models are equipped with reinforcing ribs or a thickened base to enhance load-bearing capacity and impact resistance. Our bollard designs comply with major classification society standards and can also be customized according to user requirements. They are widely used on cargo ships, passenger vessels, engineering ships, oil tankers, as well as in port and dockside installations.

Ship Type A Mooring Bollard

The double-post bollard enhances stability through its dual-column structure, capable of withstanding mooring line tension up to 80% of the chain’s minimum breaking load, effectively preventing line slippage or impact against the ship’s hull.

Marine Cruciform Mooring Bollard

Cruciform mooring bollard is a shipboard mooring device featuring a cross-shaped bollard head structure, primarily used for securing mooring lines and distributing loads during berthing and towing operations. Its cruciform design effectively disperses line tension, prevents slippage or localized stress, and enhances the safety and stability of ship mooring and towing activities.

  • Single Cruciform Type: Composed of a single horizontal crossbeam and a vertical bollard post, this simple and cost-effective design is suitable for small to medium-sized vessels, such as general cargo ships, tugs, and light passenger ships. Its compact structure allows for easy installation, minimal deck space usage, and convenient operation and maintenance.
  • Double Cruciform Type: Featuring double horizontal crossbeams, this design enhances the load-bearing stability and overturning resistance of the bollard head, capable of withstanding higher line tension and impact loads. It is ideal for large vessels or high-load operational scenarios, such as oil tankers, bulk carriers, and engineering ships. The design balances high load capacity with operational safety, ensuring stable and reliable performance in complex sea conditions or frequent mooring operations.
