Product Detail

Baldt Anchor-The Go-To Selection for Bower Anchor

Renowned for its high holding power and exceptional stability, the baldt anchor is widely utilized as a bower anchor in various merchant ships. Its reliability and performance make it a preferred choice for ship owners, both large and small.

The Features Of Baldt Stockless Anchor

  • Stockless Design: The absence of a stock makes it highly convenient for handling. After lifting, the anchor can be stored directly, saving valuable space on the ship.
  • Dual Fluke Design: The two flukes of the baldt anchor dig into the seabed simultaneously, preventing any fluke from sticking out of the soil. This ensures reliable and secure anchoring.
  • Holding Weight Ratio: In soft mud bottoms, the holding weight ratio of common stockless anchors is typically around 3, while in sandy bottoms, it can reach 5-7, with a maximum usually not exceeding 8. Although the holding power is slightly smaller than that of stock anchors, it can be compensated by increasing the weight of the anchor.
  • Widely Used as Bower Anchors: Due to its convenience and reliable performance, the stockless anchor is widely employed as a bower anchor on merchant ships. Its versatility and effectiveness make it a popular choice in maritime applications.
