About product

A marine steel inclined ladder is an inclined passage device used on ships to connect different decks or compartments. It is mainly made of high-quality steel, featuring strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. Depending on the operating environment and functional requirements, common types include engine room inclined ladders and open-deck inclined ladders.

  • Fixed inclined ladder: Usually welded or bolted to the deck or bulkhead, with a stable structure, suitable for permanent installation.
  • Movable inclined ladder (such as bulwark ladder): Can be relocated or stowed as needed, providing convenience for crew boarding, disembarking, or in special operations.

Marine Steel Inclined Ladders

Our steel inclined ladders are suitable for outdoor decks on various types of ships and can also be installed in engine rooms, cargo holds, and interior spaces. As a crew passage facility, the inclined ladder is designed to connect areas of different heights (such as between decks or compartments) and is typically installed at an angle of 30°–60° to the horizontal plane, ensuring both comfort and safety.

  • 45° inclined ladder: The most common type for inter-deck access, with a tread depth of ≥280 mm and an optional ladder width of 600–1000 mm. Offers good walking comfort and is suitable for frequently used passageways.
  • 50° inclined ladder: Tread depth decreases with the steeper angle to around 200 mm. Usually requires intermediate supports to enhance structural stability, making it suitable for areas with limited space.
  • 55°–60° inclined ladder: Commonly used in confined spaces or emergency passages. Minimum tread depth is 180 mm, with additional anti-slip measures (such as non-slip strips or perforated steps) required for safety.

Ship Steel Inclined Ladders Features

  • Robust construction: Made of high-strength marine-grade steel, with excellent load-bearing capacity to withstand the harsh conditions of long-term vessel operation.

  • Safety design: Equipped with handrails and anti-slip steps. Some models can be fitted with guardrails or step lighting to ensure safety during nighttime or adverse weather.

  • Corrosion resistance: Surface treatment options include hot-dip galvanizing, painting, or epoxy coating, ensuring long-lasting protection against rust in marine environments.

  • Flexible customization: Ladder width, inclination angle, and handrail design can be tailored to the ship type and compartment space, meeting various installation requirements.
