Yokohama Rubber Fender

About product

Our Yokohama Fenders are made from high-performance polymer materials, utilizing internal compressed air for excellent energy absorption. Designed to float on the water’s surface, they serve as an essential buffer medium for vessel-to-vessel (STS) and vessel-to-dock (STD) mooring, effectively reducing the impact and rebound forces generated by vessel movements. With their durable design, Yokohama Fenders provide optimal protection and minimize wear and tear on ships and docks.

  • High-Quality Natural Rubber: We use 100% natural rubber with a rubber content exceeding 54%, ensuring exceptional durability and extended product lifespan.
  • Reinforced Nylon Cord Layers: All internal cord layers are made from nylon (polyamide) fabric, which offers high tensile strength and superior flexibility, significantly enhancing the airbag’s performance and longevity.
  • Strict Layer Control per Customer Specifications: We manufacture according to precise layer counts as requested by clients, with strict quality control throughout the production process to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Premium Tires for Inflatable Fenders: For pneumatic rubber fenders, we select high-quality truck and aircraft tires as protective nets, ensuring maximum strength, resistance to abrasion, and long-term service performance.

Product Detail

Yokohama Rubber Fender

The Yokohama fender is an inflatable rubber fender (also known as an inflatable fender ball) that uses air as its filling. It absorbs shock energy through the compressed air inside the chamber, providing an effective buffer during vessel docking, thus preventing collisions and damage between vessels and docks or other ships. This product is characterized by high strength and excellent abrasion resistance, allowing it to maintain superior performance in various harsh marine environments. The design features of the Yokohama Fender give it the advantages of high energy absorption and minimal rebound force, significantly reducing the impact during vessel mooring and extending the lifespan of both the vessel and the mooring structure.

These inflatable rubber fenders have been widely applied in various types of vessels and port facilities, including oil tankers, container ships, yachts, offshore platforms, large dry docks, military port piers, and bridge piers. They effectively absorb the kinetic energy generated when vessels approach docks, dock walls, or other ships, and provide stable protection in complex maritime environments, preventing collision accidents. Whether used in commercial shipping or private yachts, Yokohama Fenders offer safe protection for all types of vessels, preventing damage to both the vessels and their mooring structures.

We offer fender solutions for all types of vessels, from cargo ships and oil tankers to cruise ships, ferries, and private yachts, ensuring that every vessel receives the highest level of protection, reducing maintenance costs and ensuring safe navigation.

Inflatable Rubber Fender with Advanced Performance

The inflatable rubber fender adopts a newly developed winding technology independently developed by our company, offering significant advantages over traditional manufacturing methods:

  1. High energy absorption and low reaction force.
  2. Excellent resilience – the fender maintains its shape under pressure without deformation, resulting in low surface pressure on the hull.
  3. Easy to install with low maintenance costs.
  4. Self-floating capability, unaffected by tidal fluctuations.
  5. Lightweight, practical, and cost-effective.
  6. Maintains performance under angular compression without reduction in effectiveness.
